Failure to take corrective action will often result in a full-scale battle with either psychological and/or physical damage to your Mutt (don't worry about the other Mutt - it's law suit will follow in your post later in the week! The end result will be that every time your Mutt sees another male dog he will reckon it is a question of attack first in order to survive! This has a number of major problems, which I am sure you can work out for yourself!

Stones
Another problem, which can develop if allowed to go unchecked, is stone mouthing. GDS's love a good stone to pick up and even better an owner with a good throw. Great fun for both Mutt and owner but not so good on the teeth!

Whilst I am sympathetic to stone throwing and know how much both Carla and Ralph love to chase and find the stones especially if thrown into long grass. I try to curb myself from the temptation, as I don't want a dog with broken teeth, or to accidentally swallow a stone!

Instead we have a selection of balls to throw. Tennis balls on rope are popular, and can be used as "tuggers".
