This is an attempt to make the average potential dog owner aware of the responsibilities when considering possible "guardianship" of a GSD, and not least to question are you suitable as a potential guardian?

Yes - I am a fan of the breed and not ashamed to openly admit it! I fully appreciate not everybody will agree with me, and some will feel exactly the same about other breeds and rightly so! Each to his/her own!

I haven't blessed with years of experience, indeed Ralph is my first GSD. My only claim to being competent to write this is that I have for all my life been associated with animals of one kind or another. One gets a natural feel for animals whatever the breed or species. You come to understand their needs, the way they react, and how like children they push you to the limits.
